The Oasis Poem by Yavor Kostov

The Oasis

Once, just like that through the haze,
I saw an Oasis.
It’s a mirage, I thought.
This kind of thoughts were part of me,
But, oh, how sweet the Oasis smelled.
How sweet the Oasis smelled.
It drew me up with something.
Yes, it drew me up but why?
Because it is real
With fresh waters
for the thirsty.
With delicious fruits
for the hungry.
With dense shade
and a tree big,
reaching to the Heaven.
A tree, exfoliating
Life.
