The soft breeze called me
Out into the open vastness
Where lay the green carpet
And the bed of flowers
Stretched to infinity
Sweetly murmuredthe wind.
Clouds formed the blue screen
Rain drops played the music.
Birds were singing
Butterflies flying.
The wind enticed me
To dance with the nature.
Out intothe open
I camemesmerized.
Flowers were swaying
Green carpets welcomed me.
Drops of water
from the sky
Touched my cheeks
I heard the thunder
and felt the lightening.
I heard some one calling
Here and there I searched
And stopped to see
from where came the call.
Wasit from colorful flowers?
I looked for the sound
And at last I found
The small nondescript flower
That was hidden under green carpet
Very near to my feet
Asking me to pick it up.
And to hold it on my palm.
I bowed to pick it up
With all tenderness
Lest it might break.
I could see the light, cloud and rain
All with in
I heard the music
My heart danced with joy
My hands trembled
I could feel the energy
Flowing from it into my hand
I closed my eyes in pure joy
When I opened my eyes
Found the flower nowhere
Perhaps she had melted into my being.
A lovely poem. The lucidity of poetic expression is quite commendable. Beautifully composed dear poetess.
there are many rooms of nature where poetic feelings, poetic love roams and revolves step by step. poetic vision enjoys all and plans to live immensely on the big beautiful heart of nature////
I closed my eyes in pure joy When I opened my eyes Found the flower nowhere Perhaps she had melted into my being These are the lines which attracted me to this poem serving a feast dear to the palate. Thank you Bharati Nayak for the immensely rich lines
This poem has been so touchingly and hauntingly inscribed on nature and love that it attracts me to read over and over again. As the colorful flower disappears from your hand when you open your eyes I feel it is a dream or you are in the wave of feelings. However this is a brilliant poem so nicely executed. Full vote.
