The Night My Fifth Sister Was Robbed Poem by Toshie Nohara

The Night My Fifth Sister Was Robbed

On her bed, alone, my fifth sister sat.
Her eyes focused on the Bible she was studying.
Her passion for Christ so great, the noise did not bother her.
How unbelieveable that her house was broken into.
The robber cut the iron bars of the window next to her room!
At nine o'clock that night, she never ever suspected any robbery.
The robber stole second sister's jewellery and money.
So sad, so sad, so sad.
Oh no, oh no, oh, no.
Into a big bag he happily put them safely and targeted to find some
treasure in fifth sister's room.
He expertly and carefully opened the door.
Shocked to see her there, the robber said; 'I didn't know you are in. Sorry'
Wow, what a casual greeting.
He threw a blouse over her head, and warned her to keep quiet.
She prayed silently.
Fervently, fervently, she asked God for help.
She didn' scream at all, much to her own surprise.
No panic- -how fantastic!
She calmly sang a hymn, 'Holy, Holy, Holy' to herself.
She peeped from the blouse sleeve.
He rummaged everything!
He dug his hand into her purse.
'Not much cash', he cursed.
She bravely replied; ' I am a pensioner and I am not rich.'
He took her I-Pad.
On the same table there was a Cross.
'Are you a Christian? ' he asked.
Confidently, she heard herself saying 'Yes.'
He looked at the Cross, dared not touch it.
Still greedy, he took her mobile phone.
'Not this one, I use it for my Bible study, ' she pleaded.
'You know, I am praying to God to forgive you, for you are
robbing me and you do not know what you are doing'
He heard her all right.
He became very cautious.
Before leaving, he ordered her to listen carefully.
'Sorry, give us TWO MINUTEs before you call the police.'
He didn't harm her, but hurried to meet two others downstairs.
They bolted for dear life!

I just can't imagine what I will do, what my fifth
sister went through through.
What gave her the courage, I wondered.
She was calm and trusts God.
When we have the faith to believe what is unseen, we
are not to Despair.
Faith is the victory.
What a true testimony.

Thank you God for protecting my sister
This really happened two weeks ago this year.
I praise God for HE is Holy.
I believe faith is the victory.
