The Naked Walls Poem by Sadiqullah Khan

The Naked Walls

On whose hands, I look for a murder
Who carried the annals, who a dictate:
In a slow swift dying
We congratulate each other.
While on our backs, facing the naked walls.

-On the Independence days of India and Pakistan.
