The Most Valuable Poem by Palitha Ranatunge

The Most Valuable

Rating: 5.0

I was shaken at the gate
The queue was so long...
Having no haste, I waited but
I was shaken with anxiety
Whether I will be permitted
To the eternity,

A divine guard checked
The mighty book and
Enquired sharply with a
Very confirming voice

'My son, did you multiply on earth'

I said proudly,

‘Yes my Lord!
We had five sons and five daughters'

At once the golden gates
Opened for me
Ending my long journey
Seeking an eternal peace
In an eternal life form.
