The More I Get, The More I Want Poem by Sharyaurai Riang

The More I Get, The More I Want

Every life commits mistakes,

May be it once, twice or thrice.

Mistakes are usually committed in order to fulfill life’s greed,

Which is never going to be fulfilled,

The more the life gets,

The more it will increase;

Regretting for the same mistake my life has committed.

At first I had nothing,

And demanded for something;

When something is fulfilled,

I was wanting a lot of thing,

And at final stage I demanded a great stiff,

Which caused me am lot;

Due to the greed of my life;

In order to satisfy all my wishes,

I lost everything.

Now, I’m sitting;

Remembering those small things

And regretting.

I wish I had look after me greed,

If I had controlled my rapacity,

I shall now be enjoying the life’s real beauty.

I as to say I’m the maker of my life;

And I’m the destroyer too.

I should be happy what almighty has given me,

Then, today my situation shall not be like the broken branches of a
tree.

So, saying knowingly or unknowingly,

Mistakes can be committed,

But mistakes should not be repeated.
