The Moon On Janice Beach Poem by Duy Bui

The Moon On Janice Beach

Countless miles of clouds and space between us,
The vigilant moon we first chanced on together
Pacing upon lavender sand, awaiting our meeting.

She rose ever brighter as our lips met
Gliding above the silver waves’ illumination.
Lips conjoined in time evanescence.

Dreams, reality manifested
And the true voice within whispered,
“Emily if I were a parched tree,
I would blossom in the shadow of your
Beautiful self, even without the blazing sun”.
The moon on Janice Beach, and you are in my arms.
