The Missing Thread Poem by Ramakrushna Sahu

The Missing Thread

Can mere dates and incidents and
thirst and hunger of some king size monsters sucking the blood of people speak the truth of a time and space?

Suffering and celebration of life
is missing in the extravagance of rulers. History to be rewritten anew for truth to be discovered in the pages of poetry alone

It is not only a recording of the past but also a forecast of the future
by the seers and mostly a concern
of the present lived by the mass

The history of politicians is the history of hypocrisy. The history
of war is the history of blind men.
The history of religion is the history of ignorance. The history of philosophy is the history of wise man

But where is the real history
The history of common men?
But where is the real history
The history of common men?
