The Missing Mission Poem by Gerry Legister

The Missing Mission

Rating: 4.0

The modern era is lost
In the pursuit of opinion
A fabled epoch of interest
fleeing towards oblivion.

All virtues are crestfallen
the turmoil angrily speeding
shaken minds are awakening
To an inevitable end-arriving.

With mages cloning the mission
Angry voices wade in Rebellion
The noise drowned out the vision
And mankind is left in confusion

Looking for the right direction
But finding only more obstacles
to pave the way with information
That creates the illusion of success.

With things that reward interest
We are left to face the apocalypse
and the monetary gain of the contest.
Displaces real glory and bliss.
