The Minds Tomb Poem by Matthew Holloway

The Minds Tomb

Rating: 5.0

It is in the tomb of my mind
I write my deepest thoughts
The saddest of lines
Those dark truths we deny
Amongst that solitude, silence
A place to contemplate
Life

I want to second Aqua Flowers comments and your own reply. The poem is just long enough the describe the subject but allows the reader to feel their own thoughts. A definite 10!

I like how you used tomb for thoughts in the mind. Sad thoughts are thoughts we want to bury but at the same time acknowledging them because we know they are there and part of us. When we are in solitude with our thoughts, we can better sought them out and understand them. Nicely done!
