The Marvelous Picture Poem by Dr John Celes

The Marvelous Picture

The window is quite old and rusted;
The wall has peeled off in some places;
Nevertheless, its photograph looks so lovely as
The lush green trees and water outside,
Seen through its pane,
Add beauty to the same.

All is verdure through the glass;
Yet all is natural, dressed in green;
Except for the tiny red flowers within
That make the photograph truly serene.
