The Man She Thought She Knew Poem by Morgan Uptain

The Man She Thought She Knew

She ran through the forest at a very fast pace
There was something not quite right
She ran into the open space
And there she stood ready to fight

Her persuer stood in front of her
His eyes filled of hate
What he wanted she wasnt sure
But she felt like human bait

Before she could think
He lunged at her, and she lay on the ground motionless
In the darkness she began to sink
As she looked at his face full of sadness

He didnt mean to do what he did
Expecially to his own kid
