The Man Of Confidence Poem by M. Bloom

The Man Of Confidence

Rating: 4.0

The man of confidence
is so fragile and exposed,
ready for his ephemeral pride
to burst as the world disposes
of his sad attempts, and
though he tries—they know he tries—
he cannot help but hide
inside as it chides
and turns into the winter moth
and flies away—and dies.
