The Lovely Young Women Of Warrnambool Town Poem by Francis Duggan

The Lovely Young Women Of Warrnambool Town

Of different races and colours of white, black and brown
The lovely young women of Warrnambool Town
They lay on the beach on a warm coastal day
When the sun it is shining on old Lady Bay
How lovely to look at so young and so fair
As they walk on the street with the wind in their hair
In their late teens to their early thirties unshackled by care
In Warrnambool beautiful women not rare
For their beauty and charm their praises are sung
Just looking at them makes an old man feel young
For it's beautiful women Warrnambool is well known
With the best of Australia they do hold their own
In groups they are laughing as they walk up and down
On saturday night on the streets of old Warrnambool Town.
