The love of God as Father
Is founded in the Son
His representative on earth
Shows love towards everyone
His enemies must marvel
As He forgives them too
Bids them seek salvation
While still there's time to choose

And if His child is erring
Wandering from the fold
He leaves the others to seek him
His mercy is untold
Forgiveness brings such blessing
To broken contrite hearts
The Father's love so caring
It never will depart

His Word the balm that heals us
It brings us to our senses
Makes us realize the fact
Tis God that recompenses
No fairweather friend in trials
But sticketh closer than any brother
Who can find such Friend as this
Nor do we seek, to find another

Having tasted that He is Good
The Father bids us come
Seek ye the Lord while He may be found
Trust in the Living One
The signposts point the way
Cease from all your strife
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ today
