The Longest Battle Ever Poem by Moto Wamwanga

The Longest Battle Ever

Everyday I must fight,
Think a lot to see the light
Of a new day, tomorrow.

Everyday I must borrow
A right way, be even smart
And more wise to be part

Of the following day
To try and get how to pay
The price of endless

Smile and happiness.
Everyday I look for money
For my need and honey

In order to prepare my future.
I'm living in a complicated nature
Where money is in the centre

Of several things, a ticket to enter,
Most of the time, to the planet
Of stable people. Do not forget

That life is an endless battle
That never had ceasefire, a castle
That we will never finish

To build even the day we vanish.
Life is a longest battle ever,
Where surviving asks to fight forever.

Life is a dark path plenty of danger.
To avoid surprise blows of a stranger,
You should keep looking left and right,

And your head always up like a knight.
Life finally is a restless vacancy
Without break and even mercy.
