The Lonely Hearts Waltz Poem by Bill Simmons

The Lonely Hearts Waltz

Rating: 4.7

I keep telling it no, telling it no
But it just won't listen at all
I keep telling it no, telling it no
But still, the tears they fall

What does one do when it just will not listen
You keep telling it no but the heart won't let go
What does one do you keep telling it no
But it goes on loving her so

What does one do when the dreams come at night
You try to fight but the heart it reminds
You keep telling it no for what can never be
But still, it holds on so tight

You keep telling it no but it won't let go
It surrounds your world and your life
You keep telling it no until one day so
You begin too, believing a lie

Then comes the hurt and the too misery
Of a love that will never be
You keep telling it no, telling it no
Still the heart goes on loving her so

I keep telling it no, telling it no
But it just won't listen at all
I keep telling it no, telling it no
But still, the tears they fall.
