The Lifelong Journey Poem by Ryan Simon

The Lifelong Journey

I sing this song about myself, full sad,
The pain grows deep inside; it wishes to flee from its imprisonment. The love I yearn resides within the body I cannot have, the body is the work of the heavenly father’s perfection; therefore it will be a masterpiece. Among the starry nights, so clear and bright, it may be heard; the voices of angels singing a heart tearing song of the ones who have paid the ultimate price. Death and sorrow walk hand-in-hand on this world; there has never been such a loathsome adventure of love and loss than letting shadows of the forbade to overcome ones self-worth. Let the pain of a thousand spears strike its direct mark, into the darkened depths of the underworld lord’s heart. There is a light gleaming brightly in the darkness of the valley of eternal sorrow, the light is getting closer, it is blinding and deafening, the scream of the forgotten is unbearable.
