The Joyful Lilt Of Laughter Poem by Francis Duggan

The Joyful Lilt Of Laughter

The joyful lilt of laughter is such a marvellous sound
Happiness is in the air where mirth does abound
The people who laugh readily are nice people to know
And it truly can be said of them that their friends in numbers grow
Few ever wish to get to know the sad sacks of the town
They do seem to be short offriends those in mood often feeling down
Those who enjoy a good laugh have a gift that is rare
The joy that bubbles in them with others they do share
That laughter is the best of medicine as a saying remains true
Whenever you are laughing the World does laugh with you
That everyone like the happy one as a truism remain
They attract people to them and every day new friends does gain
Laugh and the World laughs with you with this most would agree
The one who enjoys a good laugh does promote gaiety.
