The In-Thing Poem by A. Jayaprakash Jayaprakash Panicker

The In-Thing

Rating: 5.0

The in-thing

The in-thing in things
Of all makes, live and not,
Is like faith and confidence.
One speaks of the other.

Simply telling apart
what is and what is not
is similar to sifting out
wind from movement.

It is a rare amalgamation
Of creator and the created,
The hunter and the hunted;
Or, the sin and the sinning?

It is in our very virtues
Or in our lack of the same,
We all must find our in-things.
All our worries, both mundane
and divine, echo but the same.

All our problems are clear reflections
Of our virtues: either they're in us or not.
