The Ignored Poem by Richmon Rey Jundis

The Ignored

Rating: 5.0

(Poem About Natural Law)

Loud shout at the back of my head
Demands me to live my life
Only through pure reason
With its' principles that even angels cannot pass.
Noble, this can be
But it might choke someone's soul
That is left behind, ignored.

I am standing on a side that's often ignored,
A narrow path that many cannot explore,
For some, it's like a man passing through
A needle's eye, with a rigid task to pursue.

The eyes of judges,
Sitting around me like in a courtroom,
Piercing me like a rabid criminal,
And shouted:
"The law is fixed, and never will it bend! "

How can they demand me to think straight
Like them, Like a god,
If human nature is complex,
The different shades of desires and needs can't be confined
By laws that treat us as if we're blind.

My soul is rebelling inside,
With full of grief
While bathing on its' own bitter tears asks:
"What if nature's laws don't fit me or you?
What if we're born to love who we will?
Or choose our gender or our own thrill? "

The needle's eye becomes a trap
For those who don't conform to the map,
It's narrow and rigid, and hard to pass,
A burden for those who seek to surpass.

So, let's not forget the ignored side
The ones who can't fit and have to hide
For ethics to be truly just and right
We must embrace the human plight,
A journey of different colors of soul.
