The Hobbler - (Now Playing At A Theatre Near You)

Oh Yes, I'm a bonfide hobbler! , born and bred
on the concrete streets of the Bronx,
jogging my way into oblivion, jogging my way to no knee joints.
I jogged and i jogged and i jogged
to insure that my olden years
would be golden years
but now they're only broken tears.
Oh Yes, I'm a bonafide hobbler
and I hobble quite well.
I hobble to the bathroom, to the kitchen, to all the various areas of my domicle
painfully
and as a bonafide hobbler, I maintain all the necessary implements to make my hobbling more efficient - a pair of Duromed alumunum adjustable crutches,1 Easy care two-wheeled walker and an Echostik 36' grabber to pick my socks off the floor. my favorite pair of pants is a dress.
This hobbler is also entitled to all the benfits his $1300 a month medical insurance policy allows him- a quad knee total replacement, in chrome, titanium or polyethylene
though i certainly prefer antique brass.
Yes, Im an honest to goodness bonafide hobbler, with a Glock 9 millimeter and a single hollow point cartridge resting on the night table next to my bed
for in the end all hobblers hobble out of this world one horrible way or another to a hobbler hell.
Yes, im a bonafide hobbler and I can tell all you non-hobblers and soon to be hobblers out there, that tis far better to be a couch potato eating burgers and fries all day than to run yourself ragged jogging and exercising for ultimately
you will only be left a hobbler with a great pair of running shoes.
But perhaps us hobblers can get together and have a hobbler reunion
we can cry together, share all our hobbler stories, compare MRI's
And so it is and so it shall be-
He who jogs today shall hobble tomorrow
and tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow ..... till death do us part
