The Heavy Empty Feeling Of Uncertainty Poem by Kenneth Maswabi

The Heavy Empty Feeling Of Uncertainty

Life was not created to be a burden
Look at nature's lush wilderness
Or the abundance of the oceans
It is all full of beauty and charm
But now let's enter the world of humans
The heavy empty feeling of uncertainty hangs in the air
Like a noose, life has been emptied of its beauty and charm
Filled with selfishness and wickedness
The lush wilderness has been trampled upon
Replaced with ideologies and mathematical conundrums
The abundance of the oceans threatened with pollution and extinction
The path of uncertainty widened and paved
Leading to the abyss of the unknown
The stench of hopelessness is in the air
Suffocating all of life's beautiful moments
Uncertainty seems to ooze from everything that humans touch
Like a dark spell, it leaves everything on its path withering and lost
Such as the big gapping holes left behind by mining activities
Or the dilapidated clouds brought about by climate change
Human beings have the tendency to grow and nourish uncertainty
They can rip through the fabric of existence with their bombs and heavy artillery
Only to plant the seeds of hopelessness
The heavy empty feeling of uncertainty follows the footsteps of every human being
Love, Consciousness and humanity are the only available antidotes
