The Heavy Cross Poem by Meg Harrison

The Heavy Cross

When we were young, We fell and hurt our knee
It is a part of life but not a tragedy
We lift high a cross everyday
We are not surrounded by others in the same way.
Maybe strangers do not mock us as we feel many pains.
Jesus falling and picking up his cross as a king, He still reigns
The heavy cross was a burden to his body
Some days we may carry a cross as we feel pain and agony.
but we can remember how Jesus fell down
the piercing thorns on his crown,
his head was bleeding but he did not frown.
Our cross are sins which are commandment that we do not obey.
Jesus convinced God to forgive sin as we pray.
Forgiveness is worth more than money as our pay.
We carry a cross which is light.
God takes us to heaven without a fight.
Many people forgot the miracle, Jesus shared with them.
Also Virgin Mary gave us him when he was born in Bethlehem.
When he was crucified then People stopped believing.
because of the crucifixition, We are still grieving.
Easter reminds us, Jesus will return because of the resurrection.
We can return to God the same way as Jesus at the ascension.
