The Harvest Moon Poem by Casey Jarrell

The Harvest Moon

For those who planted the seed,
it is the harvest moon they seek.
During the night,
the plants will grow.
When the plants bloom,
they soon will know.

They say that on Good Friday,
plants will grow and look healthy.
When the plants bear fruit,
farmers sure will be wealthy.

In autumn when the moon is full,
crops are plentiful and buckets are filled.
For this night will be arriving soon.
Always look forward to the harvest moon.
