The Good Father Poem by Howard Kern

The Good Father

Be as a placid lake for the gale can kill.
Never let intellect be overrun by emotion for it leads to folly.
See hope in all folly for it is the teacher.
Without wisdom all is dark and unknown.
Find the works you were meant for and excel.
A father's road has many rocks to be tended,
Lend him your gifts and reduce worry and stress.
The father is the leader that will secure the family,
If frustration of leadership can be overcome.
Mortality is certain, know the living God, for he is the answer.
The angles are his tools, the sinners his experiment.
When God's law is followed all will be well with the minister.
Remember the elders for wisdom is within them.
The past will give direction for the future, if it is sought.
To steal God's thunder is foolish; forget not, why we are here.
If one's father is of correctness with the law of God,
His direction is well documented to reach glory.
Fearing God's law will lead a person in the right direction.
It is left up to you to choose, for the truth will set you free.
