The Ghost Of Her Past Poem by Andrew Tom

The Ghost Of Her Past

In silent nights I dreamt of your face
Floating crystal clear into the blue
The portrait I painted for long hours
It reminds me sadly of you

The wine I drank from this glass
I sat here waiting for your return
Spent the summers I wrote you this letter
Drunk it keeps on hurting my liver

Will you ever come back
While we watch the tide waves
Disappearing into the fog
As the boat cruises over

Written in this final chapter
A story between you and me
The Ghost of her past
Wanders inside my memory
