The Gaze Poem by Julius Akim

The Gaze

Upon the bright skyline I gazed,
Entwined about u and I,
There u are; I saw u, crystal clear,
Lonely as u are up on the vast wilderness,
I can feel how u felt right now!
But still! you never sigh nor shake.

Being known since time itself begun,
As the guardian of the nocturnals,
You poured your infinite light on us,
So that we may walked the dark,
With dignity and delight,
Yes! Never subdued nor trampled.

As mighty, as you are indispensible,
That ever little life depends on your blessings,
How it must have been tough,
To have kept everything so impeccable,
That sometimes one forgot of your existence,
Yet! You don't woe nor retaliate.

At times those lovely nimbus woo you,
But don't fall for them,
Those puffy things are just, you know;
Like them damsels for dimes,
Desolate you just when one's wants were accomplished,
No! Don't fall nor yield.

Like sirius has its B,
Also as Venus has its Mars,
Someday when time itself cease,
Divine Providence will reward you,
To meet your soul mate;
Sol invictus.

Let yours be a moral lesson on me,
Who of all, melancholic in your blues,
And here I gaze and gaze at you.
