The Games You Play Poem by Rebecca Pepper

The Games You Play

I'll let you play your games
Yes your games that show your lack of shame
You, who so many try to tame,
You are your very own claim to fame
I guess you will never change, always the same

She called your bluff
So you got revenge, a little bit rough
I'll let you play until I've had enough
You know you'll never end up in cuffs
Because I am there to clean up your ruined stuff

You're a dangerous dark horse
Never been one to show pity or remorse
So much pain to which you are its source
You take what you want, maybe resort to force
And you win every time, not one fail of course

But at the end of your day
When all the poisons have been put away
I am the only on which will ever make you say
How you feel and can make you feel that way
I am the only one with whom you don't play
