The Flood Of May 2010

The waters of the Cumberland began to rise and rise
The news reports show the landowners, homeowners, business owner's tears they cry

Lives built from hard work, suffering and pain
Washed away by a weekend of non-stop rain

Many will look forward
Many will look back

Many have the fortitude to rebuild and move on
But many more have the lack

Many affected will blame an unloving, uncaring God
Some will use it as a chance to grow

For me it's just another time I ask why?
And another question with an answer I don't know
