The Fireflies Of Autumn Poem by Samuel Stuart Pennell

The Fireflies Of Autumn

Fireflies sparked and lit the night
They brushed past me and went trailing into the fields

Above me, the night sky was a storm of stars,
that was flurrying, and swirling in
the infinity of heaven

The stars hang upon the
dark emptiness

They are sparks of light
in this
black and gold autumn
