The Final Distant Farewell Poem by keith brown

The Final Distant Farewell

Lesley my friend
My dear enigmatic friends, I miss you already

I miss your sparkling wit, your ribald humour
Your grumpiness, your Englishness

I miss your reprimands, your advise when you
thought I'd done something amiss

I miss the way you make friends, like a black hole sucks in light
Your love of life, and a good bottle of plonk!

Some one once said you where "rude crude and sometimes funny"
I suppose you where all those things and more, but I loved you!

For-your funny, caring and loving nature, Just a great mate!
I feel a slack Bastard not being there, but I'm not, so

I will have too leave Robin anda host of other friends to walk you
To the door, just to ensure you leave the premises, you understand

Go on bugger off!

Love Keith.
