The Final Curtain Poem by tara fortier

The Final Curtain

Rating: 5.0

The final curtain.

My life is but a stage, where the false actions surround me.
The time has come to say that I have finished reading scripts.
I must pursue my own justice In a journey to find and see.
That friendships will be abandonned and hearts will come to rip.

Time and time again I regret to be myself
My feelings are opac and we may not see the cracks.
Later on after being read you lay me on the bookshelf.
Living unsuspecting lives, we do not prepare for these attacks.

I must live my life proudly and not for the actors In my show.
Liberation from this stage I walk will spell out the words of freedom.
Soon to come in this macrocosm I will no longer be the micro.
My sins will fade slowly such as when the leaves start to turn in the autumn.

END.
