The Feminine Poem by Suzanne Hayasaki

The Feminine

I identify with the feminine.
Not meekness, not obedience,
Not other.
I identify with Justice, with Wisdom,
With the Mother.

God is nothing if not everything.
I am nothing but tiny, finite, limited.
But I exist within the Divine.
I am seamless, senseless, undefined.

So today I choose to see myself as female.
I choose to be creative.
I choose to focus on compassion.
I choose to do no harm.

The universe will continue to spiral and sprawl
In its chaotic dance of constant invention.
I will focus on my inner stillness.
I will decide who I am
Now.
