The Fans At A Repair Clinic Poem by Prem Nizar Hameed

All of a sudden, our ceiling fan and pedestal fan
Went on a coma like situation at a lunch time;
My wife consulted the doctor at a repair clinic.
The doctor advised us to get both of them admitted
To his clinic for further check-up and diagnosis;
They were immediately admitted to his clinic.

Later, they got discharged with seemingly good condition.
With a summary report and prescriptions to follow:
"The ceiling fan was wheezing and coughing frequently and
The old pedestal fan was suffering from dizziness,
Low pressure and cholesterol due to over oiling;
Having served with the people of allergic bronchitis,
The fans were affected by chronic asthmatic disease;
Internal organs like motor and bearings need transplant"

A miser, I fainted and was taken to hospital
Due to high blood pressure on seeing the high repair cost
'With this amount, we could have bought two new fans, ' I uttered
'Not two, four; Your medical bill is also there' wife quipped
