The Emotions Poem by Kenneth Maswabi

The Emotions

Do not call me stupid
Because I was not afraid to cry
I was not afraid to taste the bitterness in my own tears
And know the meaning of sorrow

In that moment
When everything fell apart
And tears started to flow
I was inside the home of sorrow
And all my powers were drained
I learnt the art of emptiness
As I was melted into nothingness by the pot of sorrow
I knew what it meant to Love someone
And I knew what it meant to Love myself
I knew what it meant to Love God
And my test in this world was complete

I was a new found (born)Lover
I was in Love with the nakedness of my Soul
I was a renewed Spirit full of Hope
And my Faith was tested in the pit of fire
I was now ready to put on the crown of Love
And be the illuminated Light
I was a true Lover
