The Dog In Me Poem by Francis Kokutse

The Dog In Me

See what
Coronavirus has done to me?
I didn't bark,
and l did not jump
at anyone.

it was not my owner
who decided to put
the muzzle on me,
I did it myself
to keep me safe from dying.

this is what Coronavirus
has done to me.
I am not a dog,
but l have muzzled up.
