The Deep Dark Reaches Poem by Samuel Richard Leonard

The Deep Dark Reaches

I'm staring at the past
twinkling in the black
such memory— so vast!
such a trek to track—

How much I see
through closed lids;
a Universe to be
by and in light hid.

I've everything to learn
and my mass here to teach.
Though this light obscures
it is all within my reach.

I'm traveling through time
by old sky lights
behind closed eyes
I can see without sight.
