The Daylights Here Poem by abi Whitaker

The Daylights Here

Rating: 3.0

Dress up like a clown
And strut your stuff around town
Falling about laughing about how we're wasted
The way i kissed you and how you tasted
The song comes on and you jump off your seat
You start to dance and i get off my feet
You set down my drink
I feel my confidence sink
You take my hands
And you twirl me around
Theres no other sound
Than the music, our favourite song
We dance all night long
Until the dancefloors clear
Theres no one near
And the daylights here.
