The Childless Poem by MAGNUS AMUDI

The Childless

The Childless

The childless are not only those
That has not protruding stomach experienced
However, they are part of it

The childless are not only those
That theirs’ fell like a leaf eaten by maggot
Yet they make up this group

The childless are not only those
Whose offspring cross the seas?
And have their brains formatted
I agree they are childless

The childless are not only those
That die of hunger and starvation
It is the worst type of childlessness

The childless are not only those
Whose sons misappropriate funds?
Even when they make the citizenry suffer

The childless are not only those
Who move from one NPF station to another?
With an intention to bail
Its most heart breaking

The childless are not only those
That replace a jewelry box weekly
In their heart begging, blaming God
For the gift of a thorn in the heart
Instead of the so requested children

It takes more than birth
To become a father or mother
