The Calm After The Storm Poem by Cindy Wyatt

The Calm After The Storm

You would never know real peace if
you never went through the storm
If every day was smooth sailing
it would just seem like the norm

When Jesus stills the storm with
His great power and might
the calm and quietness that ensues
turns the darkness into pure light

The wondrous calm and peace
that only a powerful God can send
makes us full of thankfulness
and know He's our greatest friend

When Jesus speaks the word,
the winds and waves obey his voice
so miraculous is the peace
it makes us leap for joy and rejoice

Matthew 8: 26: And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.
