The Broken Window Poem by Guenael Roodjerry Oristel

The Broken Window

Rating: 5.0

You promised that you'll be back.
Even though a day would seem like a million years,
I waited for the both of us.
Today, my heart is like a broken window.
I am sitting high up on a chair, I can hear my tears tapping on the ground near my feet.
The sun on the sky in a fine day flashes its teeth at me,
looking at me as a fool for letting you walk without saying goodbye.
You promised that you'll be back.
I waited for the both of us.
