The Bright Soul Poem by ANJANDEV ROY

The Bright Soul

All of them assembled
In the beautiful room
With great energy and elan,
The wise judge greeted them warmly,
Then he asked them smilingly,
"Who is the bright soul among you? "
Everybody remained silent,
The eminent judge waited and waited,
Suddenly a lean and insane stranger entered the lovely room
With a bright candle in his hand,
Thereafter he boldly proclaimed,
"I am the bright soul of this sphere,
As I brighten the way of every traveller
In all seasons,
But I get nothing from anyone,
I also expect nothing from anyone; "
Then he began to laugh,
Everybody was stunned,
The famous judge understood the profound meaning
Of the stranger's words.
