The Boy And His Mom Poem by Lorene Kinsey

The Boy And His Mom

“Go away, girl! ” he said in anger,
“Don’t you think you’ve done enough.
Can’t you see what you do to him
You need to leave and take your stuff.”

“He has walked away no time is better
For you to go than now.
Just when I think you get the picture
I step back shaking my head, ‘Wow! ’

“How can you be so selfish to,
Keep coming back to him
You speak of how special he is
Then can only call him ‘friend’”.

He is just so kind at heart
So you’ll never hear him say,
“It’s you I love, don’t want no other,
Please, please, for me just stay”.

…so there enlie frustrations,
Neither can speak the truth.
She wants that ever lasting friendship,
He wants me to say, “only you”.
