The Boon Gone Bane Poem by Jaishree Nair

The Boon Gone Bane

Rating: 5.0

Blessed we are in nature deep;
Cursed we are in ignorance steep,
Know not the consequence -
Of dire action sequence

Vile thoughts of greed-
Peeps out from the bower of hell's dread.
The gift of nature's boon-
Forgotten in selfish doom!

Responsible we are for the enveloping darkness...
The darkness of ruin...
The stench of decay-
Where death reigns supreme;

Lives withering in unknown
Nameless diseases fatal
Environmental conservation-
A name lost in meaning!

Nature's bower of greenery-
Just a foggy vision....!

Truly, our selfish motives are responsible for the degrading of our environment yet, we are not conscious as we ought to be.
