The Bomb (July 16 '45) Poem by james watkin

The Bomb (July 16 '45)

Your day of doom, unreversed
Man, foreshadowed.
By what, storm-loud, horizoned
Has just up-glowed.
Henceforth all life will shudder.
This threat under.

Your day of doom - cosmic in
Its magnitude!
Worthy that wrath, God's, entails!
Time-ending's; rude.
Earth, brace! As one unheard shout
Dazed souls flung out.
