The Body Speaks Poem by Sheena Blackhall

The Body Speaks

I am a human body
I can snore at 70 decibels
My digestive acids
Could dissolve zinc

I have enough lime
To whitewash a small shed
I have enough phosphorus
To make 2,000 match heads

I have a spoonful of sugar
My iron could create
A one inch nail

I have dreams and memories too
Don't forget emotions, thoughts and fears
They are the things that anchor me
To myself

OMG! This is incredible. You have deconstructed a human body into various elements. But as a saving grace, you have put things like emotions, thoughts, fears, dreams, memory etc. because 'They are the things that anchor me.... To myself'. Thanks Loved reading it.
