The Barrier Poem by Deepak Calyampoondi

The Barrier

To think is our gift,
but often our thoughts do shift,
As trees of palm sway in rough winds,
it's roots are firm as it stands to win.
So make an attempt to stand erect,
Many a times, people will reject,
it's the time not to regret,
Win again and the world will soon forget.

Forget the past, for the future awaits,
fall not a prey, for life's many baits,
If once taken, but where to your head,
in your battle of life you'll soon be dead.

Take a careful step, one at a go,
climb the highest mountain and do not let go.
the faith in you will make you rise,
As you age you will become wise.

So freeze that barrier, which says 'You will not win',
forget everything and let a new story begin.
