The Arrival Of Newborn Poem by MOLOY BHATTACHARYA

The Arrival Of Newborn

I
After half an hour
The red light goes off
And the eager eyes,
The beating of heart
Feel the wait is over.
II
After a moment
The newborn appears
In a crib, smiling
Like a rose that spreads
Its smell everywhere.
III
The baby girl struggles
For her existence
To the world of experience
From her world of innocence
With a promise for tomorrow.
