The Architect Poem by Abdalla Juma Shenga

The Architect

Rating: 4.4

You are the architect of sadness
Blindness and madness
Yet uniting us in oneness
Should I be sad or glad?
Are you good or bad?

Light as air
Your presence is felt everywhere
The singles you made pairs
Most parted with tears
Of blood

Should I open now that you have knocked?
Should my door remain shut and locked?

It is for those daring enough to believe that something good will come out of it, so open.

We are the architects of our own lives, two becoming one are usually parted through death's tears. An age-old question, should I open my heart to love or keep it locked out of fear of losing it in the future. Really great portrayal of this ancient question that has never been answered collectively. It's an individual choice always.
